Description

Quick clip from the 1983 Greater Miami Sunshine Open on the Pro Bowlers Tour. Here we see Sam Zurich throw his first shot of the semi-final match against second seed Pete Weber. Zurich gets a different kind of pin action. Call it a messenger if you wish, but it's not the typical kind of messenger strike we see where the head pin goes to the left wall and then comes back across to wipe out the 10. No, in this case, despite was Nelson Burton, Jr. says (he says it's the 4 pin), it's the 5 pin that comes rolling back across the very back edge of the pin deck to tip out the 10 just as the rack was lowering to pick it up. Chris Schenkel on play-by-play. Nelson Burton, Jr. on color.
